I take my once-a-week blowouts very seriously. If there’s a workout class I want to attend, it needs to take place on or around a wash day. If it’s raining outside, good luck trying to get me to leave my apartment. If I’m traveling somewhere humid, you already know I’ll be packing every hot tool and hair product I own—and to be clear that's quite a few.

You see, I have extremely curly hair. And as people who know me will tell you, I very rarely let my curls come out to play—and it’s mostly because I’m just lazy. I can’t be bothered to wake up every morning and tame my unruly and frizzy strands. My morning routine is already long enough as is between picking out an outfit and putting on my makeup. For efficiency, I like to blow out my hair once a week.

And after many years and many, many recommendations, I believe I know the secret to a long-lasting blowout—and it all lies in the Oribe Gold Lust Nourishing Hair Oil. The luxuriously lightweight formula combines several good-for-hair ingredients—including argan, jasmine, sandalwood, cassis, and bergamot extracts—which work together to transform dry and damaged hair into silky-smooth hair.

When I say it does it all, I mean it. It protects hair from the heat of a blow dryer and any other hot tool; it adds shine to all hair types and textures; it controls any frizz and reduces tangles; and it intensely strengthens and nourishes. Not to mention, the hair oil features Oribe's signature scent, Côte d’Azur— a blend of bergamot, white peach, and cedarwood—which is deliciously intoxicating. I also love that it’s free of parabens, formaldehydes, and sulfates.

I’ve been using this hair oil for years and can attest that the transformative results are pretty amazing. Typically, my blowout lasts seven, sometimes eight, days and when I use it, my hair never ever gets oily nor does it experience any weigh down. Just a dime size amount is enough to make my hair feel luscious and big and bouncy all week long. Trust me, I’ve tried everything—my bathroom vanity legitimately looks like Sephora—but I always seem to come back to this holy grail product. And even on the rare occasions I go curly, I can always turn to it and run it through my hair for a shiny and hydrated finish.
